Rachel
Kathryn
Born in Portland, Maine, Rachel Kathryn is a deeply intuitive interdisciplinary artist. Working cohesively across mediums and concepts, Rachel addresses topics such as, femininity, body acceptance, mental health, and the complexities of society, relationships, and identity.
Rachel Kathryn received her associates degree in Fine Arts from Southern Maine Community College in the winter of 2023, and graduated from Thornton Academy High School with a high honors award for the arts in 2021. 
She has exhibited work at Ocean House Gallery and Frame in both 2022 and 2023, and has seen her work published in the SMCC Beacon in two separate issues in 2022. Her most recent exhibition in May of 2024 saw her "Senior Portfolio" shown at SMCC alongside fellow creative, Emily Chayer.
Currently, Rachel's practice targets a narrative that features work investigating the contemporary discussions around LGBTQ+ issues, as well as all their intersections, including the implications of living on Earth within the confines of a human body.
