| Visual storytelling is the essence of my creative practice. It serves as a powerful conduit for understanding ourselves and the world around us through the interplay of symbolism and diverse media. | More than ever, Rachel's approach to storytelling is deeply autobiographical. Driven by an exploration of women's roles throughout art history, her narrative is a bold assertion of womanhood, investigating themes of body acceptance, gender identity, sexuality, and societal norms. Using religious undertones, confrontational self-portraiture, adult toys, and sensuality, Rachel challenges entrenched conventions, offering a visceral voice for women seeking solace and space within the contemporary landscape. In doing so, she reclaims narratives traditionally dominated by male perspectives, and opens avenues for dialogue and empowerment, paving the way for a more inclusive and diverse artistic discourse.
